Central City Community Church began in the summer of 1988 as a dialogue between Union Rescue Mission, The Church of the Nazarene, and Here's Life Inner City. They recognized the need for a worshipping community targeting the people of the skid row area.
In 1992 Central City Community Outreach was formed to provide the needed financial and administrative resources for the newly emerging community-based programs.
In October of 1994, the S.A.Y. Yes! Center was formed to reach out to children living in welfare hotels. Through a variety of relational ways, C.C.C.O. is still expanding to effectively reach out to the needs of the residents of skid row.
