Mission Statement
To bring hope and liberation to the residents of Central City Los Angeles by providing relational and community based programs that develop accountability and leadership to benefit the neighborhood and its residents.
Vision Statement
Our vision is to be a catalyst for transforming residents of Central City East into a people who serve God and their community.
Values Statement
We are:
- Christian: (faith/self-reliance) We believe as a faith-based organization that spiritual transformation through a relationship with god through Jesus Christ, provides the foundation for character development. It is this foundation revealed in the compassionate love of Jesus Christ that motivates us to serve our community regardless of race, religion, language, or sexual orientation.
- Empowering: (compassion/pity) We believe that each individual is a creation of God, and therefore should be served with dignity and value. Furthermore, we believe that each one also possesses incredible strengths and can be empowered to use them.
- Grass-Roots: (decentralized/centralized) We believe that servant leadership is the most effective way to reach out to the downtown population who are broken and marginalized. This decentralized model becomes the avenue to organize and empower the community we serve.
- Wholistic: (whole person/sectionalized) We believe that people are holistic and have many needs. Our response is to meet their physical, social, emotional, and spiritual needs-in community.
- Relational: (relationship/programs) We believe that the relationships we develop are a core method in restoring essential bonding, preventing homelessness and promotion transformation. Relationships should always take priority over programs.
